MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- With the Montgomery County Fair and Rodeo approaching, The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Livestock Unit will be on duty and performing Coggins Checks at the livestock entrance to the Montgomery County Fair and Rodeo.

Proof of a negative Coggins is a requirement under state law to enter and participate in a county-sanctioned equine event. Participants who arrive at the check station without valid Coggins paperwork will not be allowed to enter and could be issued a class C misdemeanor citation. If there are any questions before arrival, you may contact a Livestock Deputy at 936-760-5800.
