THE WOODLANDS, TX – Children’s Lighthouse of The Woodlands is collaborating with the School of Rock of The Woodlands to host a Spring Festival event on Friday, April 8, with the festivities starting at 6:30 PM. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place at Children’s Lighthouse of The Woodlands; 5585 Creekside Forest Drive in The Woodlands.

This local early learning school invites community to ring in spring in partnership with the School of Rock

Both businesses are dedicated to the growth of the talents, education, and emotional well-being of its students. Children’s Lighthouse was founded in 1997 by Mike and Pat Brown, who recognized the need for a quality daycare that went beyond playtime and babysitting. The School of Rock offers music classes to help teach area youth how to play instruments with skill and confidence, offering everything from drums, guitar, songwriting, house band and vocals. They encourage their students to take the skills they have learned with them and then go on to perform and showcase their skills in public venues.

The purpose of the festival is to celebrate the arrival of Spring in style that’s appropriate for family members of all ages. The local Creekside Village community and surrounding area residents are invited to bring lawn chairs and join in for an evening of fun, games and music. The festival is perfect for families with young children; attendees can participate in several different attractions during the event, including arcade games, a bounce house and a rock wall while enjoying complimentary hot dogs, nachos, snow cones, popcorn and more. The event will conclude with a rock concert by the School of Rock House Band that starts at 7:30 PM. The festival lasts until 8:00 PM.

During the entire festival, the owner of Children’s Lighthouse of The Woodlands, Hubert Vaz-Nayak, will also be in attendance and available to answer questions about the center and its programs.
