Suspect Arrested For Driving While Intoxicated With Her Two Children In The Vehicle

SPRING, TX -- On April 3, 2022, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 6800 block of N Grand Parkway. The driver was identified as Kristen Beckom, who displayed several signs of intoxication.

Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered and it was discovered she was intoxicated. In the backseat of the vehicle were her two children, ages 5 and 6.
Child Protectives Services was contacted and advised the facts of this case. The children were released to a guardian.

'Kristen Beckom was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger. Her bond and court information have not been set at this time.' - Constable Mark Herman
