WOODLANDS WEEKEND WEATHER – Wacky, Wet, and Wistful

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Whether this weekend you celebrate Easter, Passover, or nothing in particular, it’s a good time to stay indoors and reflect on life. By the time you’re reading this, you should have noticed the increasing cloud cover and maybe some rainfall. It won’t be going away for the entire weekend.

As today progresses, the sun will disappear behind significant cloudiness and isolated thunderstorms will pelt various areas of The Woodlands. Alas, the temperature will increase along with the rainfall, so the keyword for the day will be ‘muggy’ as temperatures reach 82 for the high. Diminishing rain showers and temperatures will bring a little relief in the evening as the overnight low settles down around 71 degrees.

The clouds will be covering the entire area all night and through Saturday, where the isolated thunderstorms will continue unabated and the high temperature crawls all the way up to 89 degrees. This would be a perfect time to grab umbrellas, hop in the car, and hit one of The Woodlands’ amazing restaurants, the mall, or a cinema.

Surprisingly, the low Saturday night will dip into the upper 60s. Sunday will be another sweltering day, with the high temperature making an encore presentation to 89 degrees. On the plus side, the rains will be limited to afternoon thunderstorms only and eventually die out as the clouds finally move along their merry way overnight as the low hits 65.

Monday and Tuesday will see partly cloudy skies with highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s but no rain in sight. That will change overnight as Tuesday turns to Wednesday and the clouds return with a vengeance. Wednesday will be overcast and muggy, but the rains will hold off until early Thursday morning, where scattered thunderstorms will make their appearance. This overcast and damp pattern will continue into Friday.
