THE WOODLANDS, TX – Chances are, you woke up this morning to stormy skies. Hopefully you’re already sheltered, because we’ll be getting rained on all day, with the clouds dropping over an inch of precipitation as the high temperature struggles to get past 80, only ten degrees higher than last night’s low.

A stormy Monday will give way to higher temperatures

The thunderstorms will last well into the night – where the low will settle around 63 – and into Tuesday morning. The lighter rains will finally die down later in the afternoon, but the clouds will take up residence for a while longer. This will most likely be our last day for a very long time where the high temp will stay in the 70s. The wetness will be exacerbated by a low temperature of 57, giving you one last chance to maybe light the fireplace for a cozy night in without running the AC.

Wednesday will be warmer and drier under mostly sunny skies, with the temps once again breaking the 80-degree barrier. The winds will also give us a break as temps go down that night into the 50s again; chances are, probably for the last time in the foreseeable future.

Thursday the winds and clouds will both kick into higher gear, but it seems like the rains will keep their distance. Lower pressure and higher humidity means that this will be the start of a weeklong warming trend. A partly cloudy day of 85 for the high and 67 for the low will pave the way for Friday, where the partly cloudy skies will remain as the temps nudge up into the upper 80s.

Stay tuned on Friday as we bring you Woodlands Weekend Weather.
