THE WOODLANDS, TX – It may be a short work week due to the Memorial Day commemoration today, but the wackiness of summer vacation mixed with three-day weekends is reflected in the shifting weather patterns this week.

A lot of different weather patterns are getting crammed into a short work week

For today the morning clouds will give way to afternoon sun, with some higher winds around 15 mph making the high of 91 feel a little more comfortable. Tonight the winds will die down as the clouds move in for an overnight low of 75.

Tuesday, we’ll experience partly cloudy skies as the fluffy stuff hangs around until later in the afternoon. Temperature wise, we’ll end May with another high of 91 – this time with lower winds – and a low of 74.

June kicks off on Wednesday with some increased cloud coverage and some afternoon thunderstorms, cooling the high down a bit to 92. Overnight, the clouds will take a quick break for a few hours, and the low will make it down to 72. Thursday, you can expect some isolated thunderstorms with a lot more cloud cover. The high will get up to a muggy 93 – with the humidity making it feel like 98 – and the low will struggle in its attempts to get below 70.

We’ll end off the shortened work week with partly cloudy skies on Friday with the highs and lows pretty much being par for the course, with a thirty percent chance of some afternoon rains. The good news is that the weekend – so far – is looking slightly better.

Stay tuned on Friday as we bring you Woodlands Weekend Weather.
