THE WOODLANDS, TX -- We all leady busy lives with work, family, and other opportunities that feed us holistically to enrich our lives. While many employees and businesses were adjusting to a home office in 2020 there was added time available to devote to our passions. Research shows the average American worker saved 250 hours in 2020 by not commuting to work. Some of the passions- animal organizations, senior care youth activities, or other nonprofit organizations- were then carried over to the business model as a community engagement program.

Businesses that develop a community engagement program in the area they serve improves morale, teamwork, and communication as well as developing a positive relationship with local consumers. The attorneys at Wham and Rogers Law Office believe involvement in the community is a part of doing business.

Rene Rogers, managing member of Wham and Rogers, PLLC said, “We try to help our local youth through sports programs and scholarship sponsorship. The South Montgomery County Girls Softball Teams and the Montgomery County Association of Business Women are two examples of helping young women through active involvement in acceptable extracurricular activities and education after high school through increased workforce training certifications or college. It just makes sense.”

Other organizations supported by Wham and Rogers include The Wise Conference, associated with Women Owned Businesses, The Woodlands Bar Association scholarship for aspiring attorneys and Veterans organizations, including the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park.

“Scholarships are a win-win for me”, said Rogers. “You are investing in our future, the young minds that want to learn more and funding is often a barrier to achieve that goal. Our youth are our future”.

The attorneys at Wham and Rogers engage in the community through their involvement in The Woodlands Chamber of Commerce as sponsors for the Employment Law Conference, volunteer services as members of the Board of Directors of The Woodlands Bar Association, The Montgomery County Dispute Resolution Center and other local events about law or youth. When you engage in community involvement on a regular basis not only does that build your credibility as a business, but it creates a positive workplace environment.
