THE WOODLANDS, TX – Tuesday marks both the start of summer and the summer solstice, which means that our hot weather won’t be considered ‘unseasonable’ for the next few months, PLUS the days will start to get shorter. While that may not mean much for a week where oftentimes the temps will get over 100 degrees, anything that offers few actual daylight hours has to be a bonus.

High temps hang around 100 all week

Today we have increasing cloud cover that will finally turn around around quitting time, assuming you’re having to work on this Juneteenth federal holiday. Accompanying winds will rise and fall with the clouds as our high hits 101. Even the low temps won’t get below the 80s until around 4 o’clock tomorrow morning, so hopefully you signed up for a “free nights” plan with your electric company.

Tuesday will see summer officially kicking off with some moderate cloud cover covering the sun from time to time, and the winds will kick back in and there just might be a little rain to provide a little relief; luckily, the high will remain in the upper 90s and the lows will eventually hit the mid 70s.

Wednesday will practically be a carbon copy of the day before, with moderate winds that will now remain steady for the rest of the week and temps this day that are only a degree off of Tuesday’s highs and lows.

Thursday the clouds will give up the battle and head off to more hospitable climes, and the high temperature will hit 101 under sunny skies as we note a distinct drop in barometric pressure that day and getting the late-night low back down to 75.

Friday will be another roaster, with the high hitting 102 as the humidity drops and the lows waver in the mid 70s. Believe it or not, right now the weekend looks to be even hotter and sunnier, so take a non-plastic water bottle with you wherever you go and consider investing in floppy hats.

Stay tuned on Friday as we bring you Woodlands Weekend Weather.
