Linda Nelson Announces Bid for The Woodlands Township Director

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Linda Nelson, a local business professional and community leader, announced her campaign for The Woodlands Township Director. Linda, who is married to Gordon Nelson, lives in The Woodlands and has worked for Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center for more than 25 years.

Linda’s community involvement has spanned many organizations including Leadership Montgomery County, The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Development Partnership, and The Woodlands High School Site Based Committee. Her local accolades include The Woodlands Hometown Hero, The Woodlands Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year and she was recently named one of Houston Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business”.

“My husband and I have lived in The Woodlands for the past 30 years”, said Nelson. “I’ve been fortunate enough to raise a family and build my career here. It has been an honor to serve my community and I look forward to continuing to do so in this new effort to be elected Township Director”.

Linda and Gordon have three children and six grandchildren. They are members of The Woodlands Methodist Church.
