THE WOODLANDS, TX – “Attendees will be transported, via taste buds and virtual passport, to wines from all over the world plus amazing Chef-Inspired culinary masterpieces from award-winning Chefs. Fans and avid foodies who experienced the return of the Wine Rendezvous Grand Tasting & Chef Showcase this past June will find The Platinum Wine Vault offers the best of the best of the Grand Tasting in an intimate and indulgent setting.”

This was the call to action for people to come to Bayway Cadillac last weekend and enjoy an upscale food-and-wine experience to please the palates of sommeliers, oenophiles, and viticulturalists alike. The event is one of but several that are part of the Wine and Food Week – presented by Food & Vine Time Productions – that are spread throughout the year in The Woodlands area.

“This is one of the most elaborate selections of wine in the collection anywhere that I’ve seen and that we’ve ever put together,” said Constance McDerby, cofounder of Food & Vine Time Productions. “We have 125 super-premium wines opened all at once. Even if you’re an avid collector with 1,000 in your cellar, you don’t have 125 of them opened at the same time. We have fabulous food, a beautiful venue, and H-E-B is pouring some of their Wine Club specific wines that are $100 or more a bottle. If you're about wine, this is the event of the year.”

The event featured The Celebrity Cruises Retreat Suite and a vast array of California premium Cabernet Sauvignon selections and delectable food pairings. The luxury tasting was complemented with a welcome pour with white glove service and premium international cheese selections that complimented every flavor, courtesy of the presenting sponsor, H-E-B.

As for the next Wine and Food Week event, according to McDerby, “The Wine Walk on Market Street is coming up on October 6. We used to do it in June, but it’s so much better to do it later in the year with cooler weather, and live music over a couple of blocks of Market Street. It’ll be fabulous.”
