THE WOODLANDS, TX – Quote of the week: “The tans will fade, but the memories will last forever.” – Anonymous

We're experiencing cooler (and wetter) weather already as summer starts its slow segue into autumn. Rain or shine, jackets or tees-and-shorts, The Woodlands has some awesome events for you this week and Labor Day weekend.

Tuesday, August 30
Sawyer Park Ice House
has an interesting take on a traditional game: Purse Bingo. It’s exactly what it sounds like: play bingo, win designer purses. Proceeds from this fun event benefit WMOM – The Woodlands Mothers of Multiples. They’ll have vendor booths for shopping, and the blackout game wins authentic Louis Vuitton! Doors open at 4 p.m. and first game gets rolling at 6:30.

Thursday, September 1
It’s time to take advantage of the weather before it starts turning too much into hurricane season by hitting some fun, free, family-friendly events. The Woodlands Mall has the perfect one for you: Outdoor Movie Night on the Lawn. Grab the entire family and head out to the back side of the mall, where there’s a large screen and happy vendors ready to present Ratatouille. The movie begins at 7 p.m. Movie goers are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. The good times don’t stop there; they’’re adding an extra dash of fun to the mix with exciting lawn games the whole family can enjoy!
