THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On September 28, 2022, students, parents and teachers at The Woodlands Christian Academy gathered by the flag pole to pray in communion with schools across the nation. See You at the Pole is a global day of prayer where students take the initiative to pray together before the school day starts, outside of instructional time.

Students led worship with guitar and singing. They shared scriptures and testimonies before praying in small groups for the school, greater community and nation. Lower school students participated in their own See You at the Pole in the school cafeteria. Forming one big prayer circle, students passed around a microphone for each child to have the chance to offer up a prayer as they felt led.

Aaron Marez, Coordinator of Spiritual Development at the school said about the event, “Our students coordinated, planned, and implemented all of the programming and did wonderful! They were eager to share in gifts, prayers, scriptures, and made sure to incorporate other students as much as possible. I’m grateful for all of the faithful students, families, faculty, and staff of all generations who joined us!”

Woodlands Christian offers a rigorous academic program with faith integrated in the curriculum and co-curricular activities, providing students with a distinct college prep experience unlike any other. As an independent school, students at Woodlands Christian have the freedom to pray inside classrooms, though out campus, with both their peers and teachers. Woodlands Christian is now enrolling grades PreK - 12th for the 2023-2024 school year with waitlists forming.

The Woodlands Christian Academy is an independent, Christ-centered college preparatory school that integrates learning with Biblical faith and spiritual growth, and challenges students to reach their highest potential – intellectually, creatively, physically and socially – for the glory of Jesus Christ.
