HOUSTON, TX -- Lone Star College recently signed an articulation agreement with Arizona State University (ASU) to assist students with a smooth transfer to the four-year university via the MyPath2ASU™ Program.

“This alliance gives Lone Star College students another option to pursue their baccalaureate degree once they complete their studies with us,” said Dwight Smith, Ed.D., LSC Vice Chancellor Academic and Workforce Success.

LSC and ASU will collaborate to promote educational degree pathways containing in-person and online course offerings. The MyPath2ASU™ Program’s customized tools will provide LSC transfer students with a connected pathway experience to ASU that will enable them to shorten their time to degree completion with minimal credit loss.

“We understand transfer students all have unique learning journeys, and ASU is committed to their success,” said Cheryl Hyman, Arizona State University Vice Provost Academic Alliances.

Students using MyPath2ASU™ will have access to personalized benefits such as:

• End-to-end learner navigation through course-by-course guided pathways

• Course applicability by assisting them with taking courses that apply to their associate and ASU bachelor’s degree

• Guaranteed general admission to ASU and admission into MyPath2ASU™ major choice if all requirements are satisfied; some majors have additional or higher admission requirements

• More than 400 course-by-course guided pathways into immersion and online ASU degree programs

• Self-service, degree progress tracking through My Transfer Guide to minimize loss of credit

• Connected experience through personalized ASU communications to prepare academically and build a connection to ASU

“We are excited to partner with ASU, who will help our students take big steps toward achieving their educational goals,” said Smith.
