Woodlands Express riders have a new app to purchase tickets and schedule their trips

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Express – the Township’s own Park-and-Ride transit entity – delivers hundreds of commuters to and from Houston every weekday. The service provides a comfortable, convenient and economical way to commute to destinations such as the Texas Medical Center, Greenway Plaza, and Energy Corridor, as well as the Central Business District of Houston. Scheduled service is provided Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

The Woodlands Township Transportation Department has recently announced that it is featuring a new ticketing app for The Woodlands Express – WE TIX. With this app, you can buy tickets, plan your trip and track your bus in real time – all in one secure, easy-to-use place. Users who download WE TIX before December 1 will receive one free roundtrip ticket as thanks. Ticket sales in the new app will open on that same date.

Current riders will need to sign up with the same email address used in the current app to ensure any unused tickets transfer to their new account. WE TIX is available for both iPhone and Android devices at their respective online stores. The current ticketing app will be discontinued soon. While The Woodlands Township Transportation Department will do its best to honor any remaining tickets, they strongly recommend users to download and switch to WE TIX as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition and uninterrupted access to their fares.
