New Fashion Boutique Opens

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- September 29, 2009 -- Where else is it possible to find cowboy rain boots, chocolate, trendy clothing, accessories and gifts? A new apparel boutique called “The Chocolate Shoe Boutique” might be your winner.

The new boutique opened on September 10 at 8000 McBeth Way, near the George and Cynthia Woods Mitchell Library.

“We had a great grand opening,” store owner Dana Kenny said. “It is getting busier every week.”

Kenny emphasized that it is a fashionable but affordable apparel boutique.

“We have a lot of unique and trendy things, so not everyone is wearing the same shirt.”

The store carries a broad variety of designers.

“We search for designers that are fresh and new,” Kenny said. “We are trying to stay ahead of the game.”

Currently, some of the most hip brands of jeans include Recession, Dirtee Hollywood, and the Rock Revival.

“The hottest jean right now is the Rock Revival,” Kenny said. “We cannot even keep them in stock.”

Another jean seems to be hitting it hard in L.A.

“All the celebrities are wearing the Recession jeans,” Kenny said.

In January, a special Pajama line called “Tokyo Rose” will be available.

“No one else will have it,” Kenny said.

In addition to women’s clothing, the store sells several types of jeans for men. “We would like to see more guys start coming in,” Kenny said.

If you plan to take a trip to the boutique, you are encouraged to sign the floor. “We ask people to come in and graffiti it up and make it part of the community as much as possible,” Kenny said.

You won’t want to miss the specials the boutique will have in spring. A line of Tuxedo’s and prom dresses will be available to rent. They are even planning to have a hair and make-up session the day of prom.

Eventually, the store plans to give 10% of a student’s purchase back to their school when they show their student ID.

The Chocolate Shoe Boutique will have booths at The upcoming Junior League Holiday Market at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center in November.

The boutique is not only a place to shop. You can actually reserve it for your own home party or private shopping, and the hostess will even receive 15% of total guest sales towards merchandise.

Store hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
