The Friends of Montgomery County Texas Animal Shelter receives $5,000 check from the MCABW 'Ladies Night Out' Fundraiser

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- October 28, 2009 -- The Montgomery County Association of Business Women (MCABW) presented The Friends of Montgomery County Texas Animal Shelter with a $5,000 check at their October luncheon. On hand to receive the check was Sandra Hanson, founder and President of the Board for the FMCTAS. The donation was the result of the MCABW’s annual Ladies Night Out fundraiser.

For those unable to attend the fundraiser event, donations are still essential for the successful operation of the shelter. Essential items include: dog & cat food (dry or canned) and treats, cat litter, collars & leashes, animal carriers, soap (laundry, hand, & animal shampoo), hand sanitizers, Clorox, towels & blankets, and bedding. These items can be dropped off at the shelter located at 8535 Hwy 242, just east of I-45 North. The shelter is open seven days a week for adoptions, or to receive strays and surrendered animals. Hours are weekdays 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.; weekends from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Donations, cash or check, can be made out to FMCTAS, 330 Rayford Road, Suite 114, Spring, TX,77386, or paid with PayPal at fmctas.org. The shelter is Friends of Montgomery County (FMCTAS) is a Texas 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving and providing medical assistance to the animals at the shelter.
