Children's Festival Delivers a Weekend of Fun
The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion was all about family this weekend as it hosted the 14th Annual Children’s Festival. This two day event transformed the Pavilion into a playground of fun where young and old were invited to enjoy the sights and sounds of The Billy Jonas Band, Kaminari Taiko of Houston, Sing-Along with Barney the Dinosaur, and Bob the Builder, the McTeggert Irish Dancers, Class Act Productions, and much more.
Area businesses joined in the fun as well with kid friendly games and prizes for the children while offering valuable information for parents. Some of the businesses on hand to make this event a success where the Children's Memorial Hermann The Woodlands, Houston Northwest Medical Center, Texas Children's Pediatrics Associate, Connect to Health Wellness Center, Shankz Black Light Miniature Golf, ATA Martial Arts, I-9 Sports, Karate of the Woodlands, Young Chef's Academy, FINS/Fun in Swimming, T.G.I. Fridays and Chick-Fil-A.
Children were entertained at every turn with an Activity Tent, a Healthy KidZone, a Fun Zone, an Adventure Zone, and an Arts & Craft Tent. Activities included a football toss, a teddy bear clinic, obstacle course, and a bean bag toss; face painting, kite building, and hat making, and more.
