Interfaith Announces New Board Members

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Interfaith of The Woodlands has added four individuals of the community to serve on Interfaith of The Woodlands’ Board of Directors. Clergy delegate Senior Pastor Roche Coleman of St. Paul Church of The Woodlands, lay delegate Imran Iqbal of Rico’s Mexican Restaurants, at-large delegate Ray Sanders with Woodforest National Bank, and at-large delegate Debra Sukin with St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital & St. Luke’s Lakeside Hospital have agreed to join Interfaith’s Board of Directors.

“Interfaith is extremely honored that each new board member has chosen to dedicate their time to serve on our Board of Directors,” shared Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands. “I am thrilled to welcome them as part of the Interfaith family and look forward to working with them for many years to come.”

Interfaith of The Woodlands operates with a 21 member board, and each Board of Director member is committed to helping the organization achieve success.

Pastor Coleman serves as the Senior Pastor of St. Paul Church The Woodlands. He received a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Mississippi College, a Master of Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute of Chicago, a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, and is presently pursuing a PhD. in Old Testament. Over the past 12 years, he has ministered throughout the world in churches, schools, universities, conferences and seminars. He has also had a passion to communicate by provided training for adults and leaders.

Imran Iqbal is the owner of Rico’s Mexican Restaurants and a member of The Woodlands Islamic Center. He is an active Board Member of the Texas Restaurant Association, the Houston Restaurant Association, the Woodlands Islamic Center, and serves as the inaugural President of the Greater Montgomery County Restaurant Association. Prior to owning his restaurant, he earned an international baccalaureate from the Jakarta International School, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University and a Master of Business Administration from UCLA.

Ray Sanders is the Regional President & Chief Credit Officer of Woodforest National Bank and a member of The Woodlands United Methodist Church. Before joining Woodforest, Sanders earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Same Houston State University. He also served as President of South Montgomery County/Woodlands Chamber of Commerce and served on the Community Association’s Governance Steering Committee. Currently, in addition to his duties with Woodforest, Sanders is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a National Certified Counselor and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. He enjoys conducting financial and budgeting seminars at churches and speaking about financial matters at schools and universities.

Debra Sukin serves as the St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital & St. Luke’s Lakeside Hospital CEO and is a member of Congregation Beth Shalom. A Houston native, Sukin earned a Bachelor’s degree, with honors, in Health Care Administration from Virginia’s Mary Baldwin College and a master’s in Health Administration from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. She was accepted as a Fellow, and later served as manger of Corporate and International Programs, at Duke University Hospital and Health Network. Sukin also worked at Methodist Hospital in Houston where she was director and Vice President of Operations of Heart Center Development and Transplant Services. Currently, Sukin is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the American Heart Association, the Houston Junior League, and Mary Baldwin College Alumnae Board.
