THE WOODLANDS, Texas --  Mother's Day (Sunday, May 9) is fast approaching and for those still looking for the perfect gift Woodlands Online's staff has come up with a few simple ideas to show mom your appreciation.

Memory Book
Every mom cherishes family photos that capture those magical moments in life. Find an assortment of photos that represents the whole family and put them in a handmade album. If you aren't crafty enough to make your own album, purchase one. Lonestar Scrapbooking Company in Wood Ridge Plaza or Michaels in Portafino are great places to find photo/scrapbook albums and materials.

Sweet Smell of Success
Scent is the strongest of the five senses, so give mom a great smelling bouqet of flowers. Yes, its one of the expected gifts for Mother's Day, but what mom doesn't like to get flowers. The rich scent of chocolate is also a mom favorite and is widely available. Of course, keep your mom's allergies in mind.

Take 5
For some moms the greatest gift is a day off. Give mom the day off from cooking by taking her out to eat on Mother's Day. Several local restaurants will be offering Mother's Day Brunch, lunch or dinner specials. To find just the right restaurant for your mom check out WOL's Restaurant Guide.

Talk it Up
These days a woman's wardrobe just isn't complete without one little accessory, a cell phone. Update mom's mobile with a new gadget that she will tell all her friends about. Our two favorite staff picks are Apple's iPhone 3GS available at AT&T and HTC's EVO 4G from Sprint. These may be a little pricey, but a family can pool their money together to get mom a real wow gift.

Give the Gift of Shopping
Giftcards are becoming an increasingly popular gift. Some may see gift cards as unthoughtful, but others may find a gift card to go shopping the perfect gift. This way mom picks out what she wants and has the thrill of shopping for herself. Pick one up from her favorite store, the mall or a department store.

Remember, Mother's Day is Sunday, May 9, and happy shopping!
