CBOW Launches 'Seed to Read' Initiative

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - Rita Wiltz, executive director, Children’s Books on Wheels, is launching the agency’s newest literacy initiative called “Seed to Read” on Tuesday, September 7, at Tamina Community Park.

Wiltz, along with Dr. Brenda Page Smith and the YMCA will empower students with tools to improve Reading, Math, and Science performance for a successful school year. There will be free books gifted and surprise incentives for parents and students attending the launch/orientation kick-off pizza party. The event is free to all.

CBOW will host “Seed to Read” every Tuesday evening at 5 p.m. along with the YMCA after-school program offered every day and followed by Tuesday Night Teens at 7 p.m.
