ORWALL 3-0 in District 28 openers
THE WOODLANDS, Texas – It was a good start Monday for Oak Ridge/Woodlands Area Little League (ORWALL) All-Star teams in District 28 openers.
ORWALL is hosting the 10-11 and Senior All-Star tournaments and all three teams involved won its games. Both ORWALL 10-11 All-Star teams came away victorious and will meet face-to-face in a 7 p.m. Wednesday semifinals game.
ORWALL American defeated Montgomery, 11-1, with Ben Mills highlighting the outburst with a home run. ORWALL National won a 7-0 decision behind the complete-game performance from pitcher Will Thomas, who yielded just four hits and no walks while striking out seven.
The ORWALL Senior All-Stars turned away Tomball, 15-4, on Monday and also advance to a 7 p.m. Wednesday semifinals where they meet Montgomery, a 7-2 winner over Northwest 45.
ORWALL also hosts the Majors and Juniors District 28 All-Star Tournaments beginning Tuesday.
Tournament openers find ORWALL American battling Northwest 45 at 7 p.m. in the Majors district tournament. The winner goes up against ORWALL National at 7 p.m. Thursday in the three-team, double-elimination tournament.
