Cavaliers roll past War Eagles
THE WOODLANDS, Texas - College Park used a 8-0 second-quarter run, along with a 10-0 third-quarter run to pull away from Oak Ridge in the second half en route to a 60-49 district home win on Friday night.
College Park (25-5, 7-0) played man-to-man defense and pressured Oak Ridge into several second-half turnoverst that resulted in transition baskets for the Cavaliers.
Senior point guard Keanu Andaya scored 13 of his game-high 20 points in the first-half to go along with four first-half steals. Andaya's steals led to fastbreak opportunities for the Cavaliers in pulling away from Oak Ridge, who couldn't cut into a double-digit Cavalier lead in the fourth quarter.
Oak Ridge (16-11, 3-5) was led by Senior forward Trumaine Jefferson, who scored 11 points, all coming in the first half.
The Cavaliers will hit the road next to face Conroe on Tuesday, January 28, at 7:00 p.m.. Oak Ridge will enjoy a bye on Tuesday and host Conroe on Friday, January 31, at 7:00 p.m..
