THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Mark Doerries and Chris Andritsos led The Woodlands Highlanders (22-3, 8-0) baseball team to an 11-0 run rule route of the visiting A&M Consolidated Tigers Tuesday night at Scotland Yard.

Doerries went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI's and Andritsos threw a three-hit shutout on the hill and helped his own cause by blasting two home runs.

Andritsos homered in the first inning, to open the scoring for both teams. After Andritsos retired the Tigers in the top half of the second inning, The Woodlands scored three in the bottom-half of the inning as the Highlanders opened the flood gates.

The Woodlands continued to pour it on as Casey Schneider led off with a home run in the bottom of the fifth inning to give the Highlanders an 8-0 lead. Luke Sherley and Andritsos walked followed by Doerries, who proceeded to hit a three run bomb as the Highlanders ended the game in a run-rule.

Seven different Highlanders scored runs as The Woodlands hit 10 RBI's.

Andritsos went five innings throwing 82 pitches, 50 for strikes with six strikeouts and three walks.

The Highlanders will hit the road next to take on Lufkin this Friday at 7pm.
