Cutting Edge Dance Studio to Open in Oak Ridge

5,6,7,8…TADA!!

The curtain will soon rise on the newest dance studio serving The Woodlands, Conroe and Spring…The Texas Academy of Dance Arts (TADA).

Local dance enthusiasts will recognize the name behind TADA – the passionate and energetic Miss Kristan Ballard. The former director of the Boni’s En Toure dance team for 13 years, Ballard is now fulfilling what has been a lifelong dream.

The 9,000 square foot state-of-the-art dance studio will be the anchor tenant in the newest phase of the Hanna Business Park in Oak Ridge, just across from The Woodlands. It will boast a large viewing gallery with dancewear boutique, five beautiful dance rooms and the latest in training equipment and video observation.

Ballard has used her extensive contacts in the industry to gather some of the most talented teachers around. Two of TADA’s instructors (soon to be married) are current members of the Houston Ballet, two hold Bachelors of Fine Arts degrees in dance and others have extensive experience with professional dance and performing arts companies in Houston and abroad.

“I have always envisioned a warm and welcoming environment where kids of all ages and levels could fall in love with dance. They will be challenged and inspired by teachers who love the craft and love teaching,” says Ballard.

TADA will offer recreational and competitive dance programs, with classes beginning September 2nd. Students can train in all disciplines including ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, pointe, hip hop, drill and musical theater. TADA even offers boys only classes called Tough Guy Tap and Guys’ Hip Hop. TADA Tinies and Creative Movement is a series of dance classes designed for preschoolers.

TADA will be holding auditions July 19th for its competitive dance teams – the TADA Company, Star Team and Hip Hop crew.
