22nd annual Matt Bullard camp underway

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The 22nd annual Matt Bullard basketball camp is underway this week at John Cooper School. The former Houston Rockets forward and resident of The Woodlands has two sessions of the camp, with boys and girls entering second through fifth grades in the fall at the morning session. The afternoon session is boys and girls entering the sixth through 11th grades.

Matt is joined by a veteran staff of coaches from around the area who are looking to teach the next generation of local basketball players the proper way to play the game.

If learning the game of basketball from an NBA World Champion isn’t enough, the campers were surprised when Basketball Hall of Famer and Rockets TV analyst, Calvin Murphy stopped by to cap off the morning session with a great ball handling drill.

The camp continues to grow in attendance as many players have gone through the camp and continued on to play basketball at the junior high and high school levels.

The camp continues all week at John Cooper school.
