Corner Bakery Cafe opens doors to The Woodlands neighbors

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Corner Bakery Cafe is ready to “Feed the Day” in The Woodlands with a new cafe opening on Monday, Sept. 1, 2014. Whether it’s to discover the new made-to-order Buttermilk Pancakes for breakfast, the signature Chicken Pomodori Panini for lunch, the mouthwatering Pesto Cavatappi for dinner, or a slice of bakery-fresh Cinnamon Creme Cake for dessert, The Woodlands neighbors are invited to check out the brand-new cafe at 2415 Research Forest Drive, located at Research Forest Drive and Lakeside Boulevard.

To add some extra excitement on opening day, the first 100 guests through the doors at 6:30 a.m. will receive a free commemorative Corner Bakery Cafe travel mug and free daily refills of hand-roasted coffee for a year.

The cafe marks the sixth in the Houston area, all of which are backed by Bernardo Castillon, owner and principal of MX Restaurants and Bakeries, Inc., which operates Corner Bakery Cafe locations in southern Texas and more than 80 restaurants throughout Mexico. The Woodlands cafe will be operated by Castillon’s operating partners Steve Whiddon and Miguel Garza. The franchise group plans to open 17 additional locations in Houston over the next five years.
