The Woodlands serves abundance of pizza with another pizzeria coming soon

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Woodlands residents will have yet another choice when it comes to eating pizza when Crisp, the Heights pizza and wine restaurant, opens its second location in the spring, at 2520 Research Forest Drive, the previous site of the Black Walnut Cafe.

The new restaurant will be able to seat approximately 120 people in the 4,600-square foot restaurant, and an additional 50 diners outside on a 1,500-square foot patio. The restaurant features over 100 wines, and will have 24 craft beers on tap; The Woodland's location will include a selection of liquor.

The news of Crisp opening up a second location, comes on the heels of the Chicago-based pizza restaurant, Gino's East, which moved into the former Bikinis restaurant on the southbound side of I-45N, just north of Sawdust.

Pizza could very well be considered the ‘national food of The Woodlands’ with the number of restaurants serving pizza, rivaling burger locations, and far exceeding any other food item. This should make the voting on Woodlands Online’s 2015 “Best of The Woodlands” contest very competitive this year. The contest will launch February 1st, so be sure to vote for your favorite pizza. To gain a competitive advantage and win, pizzerias will have to be creative in differentiating themselves by having exemplary customer service, and above all...make great pizza!

Previously announced, Crust Pizza Co. will be opening their third Woodlands location in the Creekside Park Village Center, but wait! There’s more! For those who made a New Year’s resolution to minimize carbs, La Fisheria recently signed a lease in The Woodlands at 6777 Woodlands Parkway. This is their second location too, after opening their first restaurant in Houston two years ago. They are also targeting a spring opening in April.
