Winners of The Woodlands CrawPHish Festival Art Contest announced

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Kona Grill The Woodlands recently hosted the judging for The Woodlands CrawPHish Festival Art Contest. Spencer Johnson was awarded first place for his painting featuring a crawfish relaxing in his boiling pot. All attendees at the Festival will see Spencer’s artwork as it is the official t-shirt design for The Woodlands CrawPHish Festival which is slated for Saturday, March 28 from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. With expected attendance nearing 5,000 people, the Festival will be held at Town Green Park to accommodate family fun, corporate sponsors, and live entertainment.

Grace Ann Frugé took second place and Kiersten Johnson secured third place. Honorable Mention – Ariel DeWalt received honorable mention as the judges had a hard time picking between all of the talented pieces.

Painting with a Twist in The Woodlands hosted a series of painting classes inviting children ages five to 12 to paint what they believed would encompass what the event is all about. Judges took the judging seriously as they thought about the event and noticed how each child incorporated key elements in their artwork.

The Festival will include actives for the entire family such as:

kids’ activities provided by The Woodlands Young Learners Academy and Painting with a Twist

live bands; Texas singer, Jack Ingram, Jean-Pierre and the Zydeco Angels, and the Scooter Brown Band

The Pulmonary Hypertension Association and The Woodlands Area Chamber’s Young Professionals bring the community together for this popular event to increase awareness of Pulmonary Hypertension. The ticketed event is open to the public for sponsorships and individual admissions. Proceeds benefit the Pulmonary Hypertension Association – www.phassociation.org
