“Meet The Robot” Open House at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands set for April 30
THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital is inviting the public to a “Meet The Robot” open house on Thursday, April 30 from 5-6:30 p.m. to introduce its newest and most advanced hip and knee replacement technology. The demonstration will take place in the lobby at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands, located at 9250 Pinecroft Drive.
Special guest and PGA Champions Tour member Fred Funk will share his GetAroundKnee™ knee replacement story with Meet the Robot attendees, who will also have a chance to participate in a drawing for two Honorary Observer passes and a VIP experience at the Insperity Invitational courtesy of Stryker on Saturday, May 2. The free event will also feature Kelly Blevins, M.D., and Adam Freedhand, M.D., orthopedic surgeons affiliated with Memorial Hermann who will discuss and demonstrate the robotic arm system’s capabilities.
Memorial Hermann The Woodlands and Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center both offer the Stryker Robotic-Arm Assisted Technology with the Mako Robot for specialized knee and hip replacement procedures. Mako is a surgeon-controlled robotic-arm system that enables accurate alignment and placement of implants. It assists surgeons in pre-planning and in treating each patient uniquely and with a consistently reproducible procedure.
