KLEIN, Texas -- After years of playing second fiddle to district powers The Woodlands and College Park, Oak Ridge is primed to make a run for a district crown in 2015.
The Ridge enters district competition confident and ready

After a solid performance Tuesday night against inter-district rival Klein, the Lady War Eagles swept 3 matches in easy fashion that leads into opening district play next week against a solid Kingwood squad.

“We have tremendous leadership on this team right now, everyone has really stepped up and we’re looking forward to starting district next week,” said junior libero Raigen Cianciulli.

“Kingwood is very strong offensively so we will have to adjust to their style.”

Oak Ridge brings a new style of athleticism up front that begins with three year starter and outside hitter Brooke Clark.

“Our number one goal for 2015 is to win district and as a team we are very excited to start district play (next week),” said Clark, a junior. “We have our strengths as a team and our weaknesses. As a team we are focusing on working on our weaknesses for next week.”

Kingwood enters district competition next week with a record of 9 and 12 as they are coming off a 4 set victory over Klein Collins Tuesday night.
