Houstonians win 'Explorer Getaway" Packages from The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Three lucky Houstonians have each won an Explorer Getaway Package from The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau.

In a promotional program held last year, Greg Roberts, Edmund Czarnecki and Melissa McAnelly, all residents of Houston, were the top three names that were randomly drawn from among 300 inquiry entries. As part of a co-op advertising program, the packages awarded a dinner for two at Fleming's Steakhouse & Wine Bar, The Cheesecake Factory, or Perry's Steakhouse & Grille. It also included accommodations at either The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel, Homewood Suites by Hilton, or Marriott Courtyard Inn, as well as tickets to Tinseltown movie theatre.

"I was very excited to be chosen as a winner of one of these great packages," said McAnelly. "I love going to The Woodlands because it is such a fun and easy getaway from Houston."

Czarnecki added, "When I heard I had won, I was surprised and shocked! All of these gifts are fantastic and I am looking forward to using them during several trips back to The Woodlands."

Nick Wolda, President of The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau, said, "This was a successful marketing program that helped us to build awareness and excitement about our new CVB here in The Woodlands as we continue to promote this area as a premier destination to shop, dine, play and stay. We look forward to offering the Explorer Getaway Package program again later this year."
