Burglary Suspect Arrested
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Police have arrested a man in connection with the burglary of a local Check'N Go.
On Friday morning, Nov. 6, at approximately 5:50 a.m., police were called to a burglary in progress at the Check'n Go at 25915 I-45.
According to three witnesses who were driving by, a man with a pry bar was attempting to open the front door of the Check'N Go. The witnesses parked their car nearby and attempted to catch the suspect, but as they approached the suspect had already entered the business. As the suspect tried to leave, the witnesses held the door shut in an attempt to trap him inside until police could arrive.
The suspect was eventually able to escape and fled on foot. When police arrived at the scene, a male matching the suspect's description was seen walking in the area. Officers were able to locate and detain the suspect. In a combined investigative effort by the MCSO Patrol Division, Detective Division, Crime Scene Investigations Division, and the CISD Police Department, Tony Curtis Meadows, 24, was arrested and is currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail with a $5,000 Bond for Burglary of a Building.
