THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Anticipating Spring Break, Amy Milstead has once again launched Milstead's annual Anti-Distracted Driving Video Campaign contest where teens can speak to other teens via video presentation about the dangers of distracted driving.

"This is one of our most important events we launch," said Amy Milstead, president of Milstead Automotive. "We want to see our young adults have a safe Spring Break and this is our attempt to help make that happen."

Last year, students from Caney Creek won the Anti-Distracted Video Campaign with a poignant look at texting while driving and were featured on Fox 26 News.

"We received so many submissions last year, but the guys from Caney Creek took it over the top with their anti-texting while driving video," Milstead said. "We are hoping that more teens of driving age will submit their videos for us to feature."

Teens must be a high school student of driving age in Harris or Montgomery counties and must submit their video or slide show presentation by 5 p.m., March 1 as a JPEG, PDF format, CD or YouTube clip.

"This year's campaign is 'OMG' which stands for 'One More Gone' which is something we don't want to have happen," Milstead said. "We want all our teens traveling this Spring Break to return safely home and this Video Campaign is our attempt to make that happen."

Winners of the OMG Anti-distracted Driving Video Campaign will receive $500 in cash and prizes. All submissions must be sent to the e-mail provided or hand delivered to Milstead's Spring location at 29707 W. Hawthorne off Rayford Road. The winner will be awarded their prize the evening of March 8 at Milstead's Lipsticks & Dipsticks Car Care Clinic. For more information go to the website.
