Science conference set to start March 18 in The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The 43rd Lunar and Planetary Science Conference will be orbiting the surrounding restaurants and venues of The Woodlands Waterway Marriott beginning Sunday, March 18 through Friday, March 23.

This annual conference, organized by Universities Space Research Association, brings together about 2,000 attendees in all fields of geology, planetary science, astronomy and more. This year a second conference, Nuclear Emerging Technologies for Space, or NETS, will be joining the main conference at the end o the week, bringing to The Woodlands an additional 150 people.

Many of the attendees are government travelers and college students and all are on tight travel budgets. Those bringing their families and spouses are looking for kid-friendly activities, dining, and shopping.
