Montgomery County sheriff's office blotter, April 23 - 29, 2012

THE WOODLANDS, Texas –– Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s reported the following incidents in The Woodlands between April 23 and April 29, 2012:

Deputy Evans was dispatch to Wood Lilly in reference to a parking violation at about 7:30 p.m., April 23. Deputy Evans made found the vehicle’s owner in order to have the vehicle moved so as not to impede traffic. While speaking with the owner, Deputy Evans saw the 18 year old man from the Woodlands, to have marijuana sticking out of his pocket. The suspect was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

Deputy Veith saw a vehicle sitting in a moving lane of traffic on Waterway Square and Lake Robbins and went to check on the welfare of the occupants at about 11:20 p.m., April 24 . Upon approaching the vehicle, Deputy Veith was able to smell marijuana. The driver, a 26-year-old man from Houston, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana. The passengers, both 26-years-old also from Houston, were both arrested on charges of possession of marijuana.

Deputy Curtis was dispatched to Holly Creek Court at about 1:40 p.m, April 25 for a disturbance. Deputy Curtis identified the suspect, a 20-year-old man from Spring, and a check with dispatch found the man had an outstanding warrant for evading arrest or detention. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Deputy Cogdill arrested a 28-year old man from The Woodlands, on April 25 at 9:30 p.m. The suspect was arrested on charges of outstanding warrants after Deputy Cogdill checked his identification. Deputy Cogdill was checking a local park when he saw the suspect and a friend drinking alcohol in the park on Shadowbend.

Deputy Prince pulled a vehicle over in the area of Lake Robbins and Interstae-45 at about 11 p.m., April 26. During the course of the investigation, the driver was found to have a suspended license. The driver was allowed to call a friend to pick her up. Upon arrival of the second driver, Deputy Prince spoke with him and determined that he was too intoxicated to drive. The suspect, a 42-year-old man from Fulshear, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

Deputy O’Connor responded to a shoplifter in custody call at about 2:15 p.m., April 27 at 3040 College Park Drive. The suspect, a 25-year-old man from Conroe is accused of attempting to take $94.10 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart. The suspect was arrested on charges of theft and an outstanding warrant, and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Deputy Eisenmenger pulled a vehicle over on Woodlands Parkway at about 8:25 p.m., April 27. The driver said he did not have his license with him, but did give Deputy Eisenmenger identifying information. The driver, a 38-year-old man from Conroe, was found to have an outstanding warrant and a suspended driver’s license. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

Deputy Prince pulled a vehicle over for driving without headlights on Lake Robbins Drive at 11:30 p.m, April 27. The driver, a 38-year-old man from Shenandoah, was found to be intoxicated. The suspect was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

Deputy Sharman was dispatched to a suspicious cehicle call on Largo Woods Place at 10:13 p.m., April 28. As Deputy Sharman approached the vehicle, he could smell the odor of burnt marijuana. One of the occupants, a 17-year-old man from The Woodlands, said that the marijuana in the vehicle was his. The suspect was taken into custody on charges of possession of marijuana and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. The other three occupants were either released at the scene or released to a parent.

Deputy Breeze pulled a vehicle over on Woodlands Parkway at about 4:50 a.m., April 29. The driver, a 22-year-old man from Spring, was found to have nine outstanding warrants for his arrest. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
