THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Massage Heights in The Woodlands rose to new heights with the relocation of their business to a larger location. The open house to showcase the new facility took place Wednesday, November, 28. Moving just across the street to 8000 Research Forest Drive, has enabled Massage Heights to expand their business by 50 percent. Originally providing eight massage therapy rooms, there are now 17 rooms and 19 tables.

“We have 26 massage therapists which provide staff for both day and evening appointments,” said manager Steven Nacol.

Family-owned and operated, the business was a birthday gift to Diana Jenkins from her husband, Jack. Not being a ‘hands-on’ massage therapist, Diana knew firsthand the benefits of massage therapy and wanted to make it available to a larger percentage of the population.

“Massage therapy is for everyone. The stereotypical model that only the wealthy indulge themselves with massage as a luxury, is far from reality,” said Amy Jenkins Calandra, Jenkins’ daughter and a Regional Developer for Massage Heights. “Our client base is anyone who needs to alleviate stress in their life, or who has a medical condition that can benefit from therapeutic massage.”

In addition to relieving stress, Massage Heights’ client base includes individuals whose work is physically demanding, and seniors with arthritis and sciatica.

Massage Heights differentiates itself from other massage businesses by offering an affordable membership program so that customers can experience therapeutic and rejuvenating massage more frequently. A nominal monthly membership fee includes one 1-hour rejuvenating massage and complimentary aromatherapy with a licensed, professional therapist. Each additional 1-Hour massage is discounted. The massage offerings also include 1/2 hour, 90 Minute and a 2-Hour massage; facials and foot scrubs are also available.

All natural proprietary Heights at Home body products are used in the treatment and available for purchase. The highest quality linens and ergonomic massage tables, combined with soothing music and soft lighting, provide all amenities and ambiance of a luxurious spa.

“We want people to feel good and feel good about themselves,” said Jenkins. “I wanted my own business, and this is what I enjoy doing the most, treating people the way they want to be treated.”

Massage Heights is eco-friendly with a green initiative that includes biodegradable lotions and massage oils, rechargeable battery-operated faux candles, recyclable retail packaging, and their own internal recycling of paper and plastic. Located in the Village of Alden Bridge, the spa is now adjacent to the Kroger grocery store, on the northwest corner of Research Forest and Kuykendahl. At the open house on Wednesday, Owner, Jack Jenkins, publicly commended General Manager, Steven Nacol, for the expediency and smooth transition in relocating the business.
