THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- There’s a variety of haunted happenings taking place in The Woodlands this October. Bring the family out for trick or treating, vendor booths, children’s activities, performances, costume contests, games and more. Appealing to all ages, events range from scary to spooky spectacular.
1st Annual Make Your Own Scarecrow Competition

Do you think your family has what it takes to make the best scarecrow? Bring an old set of clothes (long sleeve shirt and pants) to make your own! Scarecrow making begins at 5:30 p.m. and judging at 6:30 p.m. Produced by The Woodlands Township, this event is held in conjunction with Concert in the Park.
The Great Pumpkin Hunt

Think your family can out-carve the other pumpkin carvers in The Woodlands? Join us during Concert in the Park for the Jack-o-Lantern Challenge. Carving begins at 5:30 p.m. and judging at 6:30 p.m. Produced by The Woodlands Township, this event is hosted in conjunction with Concert in the Park.
The Haunting at Bear Branch Park featuring Mangled Manor

An annual tradition, The Woodlands Township presents The Haunting at Bear Branch Park featuring Mangled Manor, a haunted house crafted by Township staff made to resemble an old manor from years ago. A tour guide will lead your group down the trail and through the manor, but see if you have what it takes to make it all the way through.
Spooky Spectacular Family Carnival
The Woodlands Township Recreation Center, 5310 Research Forest Drive

5 to 9 p.m.
Fee: $5 per child
Join us for some spooky games and yummy treats while trick-or-treating at the Spooky Spectacular Family Carnival! Produced by The Woodlands Township, the carnival will be set up indoors and outdoors and include a giant inflatable slide, inflatable games, moon walk, carnival games, costume contest and much more! Additionally, there will be a snake show from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. and a magic show from 7 to 7:45 p.m.
