Expansion of The Woodlands Christian Academy

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The Woodlands Christian Academy has opened additional sections of 1st – 5th grades to meet the growing demand for accredited, Christian, college prep education.

“With over 95% of current students re-enrolling next year, we created additional classes to accommodate the tremendous number of new families applying for admission” explained D’Anne Surber, Director of Enrollment. The Woodlands Christian Academy has a current student body of 440 students and anticipates starting the school year in August with more than 500 students. Mrs. Surber added, “The only way to maintain ideal class sizes for instruction is to create additional classes to meet the interest and demand. The majority of our classes in the upper school, grades 6 – 12, are at capacity and are closed.”

According to Julie Ambler, Head of School, “The goal is to purposely grow to an future enrollment of approximately 900 students.”

The interest in Christ-centered, college preparatory education continues to grow within our community. Many people are passionate about a competitive, quality education that embraces and teaches Christian principles. Woodlands Christian offers competitive athletics, leadership and community service opportunities. Our classes provide a digital learning environment as well as the incorporation of biblical truths in all subjects. Mrs. Surber added, “Our graduates are accepted to prestigious colleges and universities around the world; we serve a specific niche in this community.”

Woodlands Christian is accredited by AdvancED (formerly the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) .
