UPDATE:

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Cinemark Tinseltown had all the trappings befitting emerging superstar, Francesco Yates...the red carpet, lights, a sound stage, courtesy of Coca Cola, as the soft drink icon celebrates its 100th anniversary.

Yates performed his original ode to Coca Cola in several sets, to the crowd in attendance Saturday night. (see video).

A chance meeting of Coca Cola talent scouts who happen to cross paths with Yates in concert on the west coast, and the rest is history. He was contracted to write their centennial anthem, and is now on tour to showcase it. Although Yates said prior to their collaboration, he was working his way up the hard.

“I started at the bottom and worked my way up,” said Yates. “It was a long road, a hard road, but a rewarding road.”

Words often uttered by other recording stars, but Yates appears to have accomplished it in record time, being just twenty years of age, but he actually started writing music at age 11; that in itself is somewhat of a record. Speaking of records...Yates will be releasing an album next year: hopefully in the spring.

Albeit The Woodlands is a long way from his home in Toronto, Canada, to that Yates replied…

“The world is my home now."

ORIGINAL STORY:

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - See Francesco Yates in person, hear him sing the new Coca Cola anthem, right here in The Woodlands at Cinemark Tinseltown Saturday, October 3.

“Nobody Like You” was created by Yates for the Coca Cola centennial campaign, and although the brand is celebrating its 100th year, the song is contemporary and catchy, and guaranteed to catapult the 19-year old to stardom.

Yates has yet to release an album but what he has accomplished is to produce a hit that focuses on all the things that make us fall in love, the power of being unique, and those special shared moments. The anthem serves as both a traditional love song and at the same time, pays tribute to the brand’s icon bottle shape and the Coca Cola experience. So pleased is the company with this hit, that they’ve taken their new anthem and it’s originator on tour to showcase it.

“We’ll have plenty of wrap-around activities,” said Cinemark Manager, Bill Shepeard. “Coca Cola is doing this in a big way. It will be a great experience.”

Cinemark Tinseltown will be rolling out the red carpet for Yates and the community beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, and for eight and a half hours, the theater will feature an interactive experience for attendees that will include a walk down the red carpet, performances by Francesco Yates, and a chance to win a trip to the 43rd American Music Awards November 22, at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

Yates joins musical legends Ray Charles, The Supremes, James Brown, and a handful of others, in working with the soft drink giant in a win-win collaboration. Coca Cola gets a great centennial anthem, and Francesco Yates gets the recognition he deserves for his talent.
