The Township to offer free Holiday Shuttle Express beginning Nov. 21

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – In an effort to ease congestion and parking concerns, The Woodlands Township is offering free Holiday Shuttle Express service to allow for a more convenient way for the public to enjoy the holiday season in The Woodlands. Park once, and take the free Holiday Shuttle Express for shopping, dining, visiting or working in the Town Center area.

Coinciding with the Lighting of the Doves Festival, the Holiday Shuttle Express will begin service Saturday, November 21, 2015, and will run through Sunday, January 3, 2016, with the exception of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The free service will consist of holiday-themed shuttle buses that will circulate about every 10 minutes from the free Gold Lot parking area around The Woodlands Mall and Market Street areas.

The Holiday Shuttle Express route will have six stops this year, including the Gold Parking Lot at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, Market Street, The Ice Rink, Tinseltown Movie Theater and the North and South entrances of The Woodlands Mall. These easily-identifiable vehicles will operate seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and are operated independently from the existing Waterway Trolley System. The Woodlands Township’s Holiday Shuttle Express is funded by The Woodlands Township, The Woodlands Mall and Market Street.
