Kroger locations hosting drive for Operation Military Embrace Aug 27
THE WOODLANDS, Texas — On Saturday, August 27 from 10a - 3p, Kroger will be hosting Volunteers from various organizations in our community to help Operation Military Embrace at 18 separate store locations. Jerry & Debbie Reed and Brenda Schultz founded this 501c3 charity in Tomball in 2007. Donations in-kind as well as monetary will be accepted on August 27 to support our ill, wounded, deployed men and women.
Care Packages will be sent to individual troops around the world and the Annual Free PX at the San Antonio Military Medical Center will reach our ill / wounded men & women and their care givers this coming December. The Care Package mission organizes / ships boxes almost daily using shopping lists compiled from requests received from the deployed men & women.
In 2015, this same drive at 14 Kroger locations resulted in over $41,000 in goods and cash to be used by OME for the benefit of our Military. For more information or to volunteer, visit www.operationmilitaryembrace.com or call Dennis Bernhart, Care Package Program Manager at 832-515- 0333.
