'Every Summer Has a Story' Art Show & Competition was a true work of art

HOUSTON, Texas – More than two dozen artists had their works displayed at the second annual State of the Art Shows “Every Summer Has a Story” art show and competition at MATCH in midtown Houston.

Hundreds of people came to check out the works of art that adorned the walls and staging areas while enjoying food and refreshments provided by Deep Eddy Vodka, 11 Below Brewery and Hot Toppings Pizza, with live music entertainment with local rock artist Robin Kirby.

The annual event is the artistic brainchild of State of the Art Shows co-founders Vena Ashley and Gretchen McDaniel, who created the competition to showcase artists local, regional, national and global.
