Student athletes at John Cooper School in The Woodlands celebrate National Signing Day

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- National Signing Day is a rite of passage for many high school athletes in The Woodlands area.

The John Cooper School is proud to announce that six students will move on to college and university-level athletics.

  • Matthew Mussalli, Rhodes College, Memphis TN, Football (kinesiology or pre-law)
  • Kayley Wood, St. John's University, New York NY, Volleyball (business)
  • Jonathan Goodridge, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby B.C., Canada, Cross Country/Track (business)
  • Kaylee Frazier, North Carolina State University, Raleigh NC, Volleyball (business)
  • Bobby Finnie, McGill University, Quebec, Canada, Baseball (economics)
  • Grace Ritch, University of Texas, Austin TX, Swimming (business and biology)

"It's an opportunity for the kids to continue what they're doing," said John Cooper School Athletic Director John Hoye. "There are few of us who get to encounter that team experience in university … and they have the chance to do that. We are very proud of them."
