THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Kailee Mills Foundation – a local nonprofit organization whose mission is to reduce fatality and injury resulting from non-seat belt use through awareness, education, and community involvement – recently celebrated its newest office space with an open house that included music, a crawfish boil, tours, and tons of fun.

Eric Endicott, the advisory chairman and community outreach manager for the Kailee Mills Foundation, explained the origin of the new office space, which is located at 25003 Pitkin Road, suite C100 in Spring, right near I-45 and Rayford.

“We had an office in Spring that consisted of only one room, and we needed more space due to the foundation going through a lot of growth recently, including the hiring of two new employees – Amanda and Shirley,” he said.

David and Wendy Mills, who own Magnolia Patio Covers as well as being the founders of KMF, had an office space and warehouse that they now share with us, so we now have a lot of space to work with and grow the foundation. David Mills was thrilled at giving tours to visitors and at the crowds who showed up.

“When people come here, we want them to feel at home, and we do our best to create a family atmosphere, whether they’re coming in for the Kailee Mills Foundation or for Magnolia Patio Covers,” he said. “This is a place where we can bring volunteers and have our program directors office here, along with a nice sized conference room for brainstorming and planning.”

Along with the typical festivities that go along with celebrating an open house of a local nonprofit, there was an extra level of fun at this event. “We’re also celebrating Tyler McCulloch, who yesterday ran the Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas triathlon on behalf of Kailee and the foundation. It was his first one and we’re proud of him.” McCulloch even carried the KMF flag aloft as he crossed the finish line.

Endicott was excited about the foundation’s upcoming events. “We have a car show at Bareback Bar on May 6. Our main event, however, is the next day on May 7, our 5K Bubble Run, a great family event with a lot of vendors coming out, including a Life Flight helicopter doing demonstrations and a lot of First Responders.”
