THE WOODLANDS, TX – Today is literally the calm before the storm. As our Monday progresses, the clouds will waft away and we’ll enjoy bright, shiny skies as we break the 90 degree threshold for a high. Fortunately, sharp winds and a lowering humidity will make the heat more bearable.

One stormy week is on the horizon

Later tonight, however, things will massively turn around for Tuesday. The clouds will return from seemingly out of nowhere and waste no time filling up the nighttime sky. A rock-bottom low pressure system and soaring humidity will make this a muggy, cloudy day, and spiking winds in the afternoon will help to keep the temps in the mid 80s for a high and low 70s for a low.

The slight chance of rain on Tuesday will go all in on Wednesday. As the pressure rises throughout the morning, we’ll see a massive spike in thunderstorms, followed by general rains. The wet stuff and cloud coverage will keep our high in the mid 70s, and overnight the skies might clear up a bit for you to enjoy a low in the 50s.

On Thursday, it’s pretty much a guarantee you’re going to get wet. The skies are planning to dump nearly two inches of rain on us that day as the temps struggle to get into the 60s for a high. Trust us when we say that you’ll want your umbrellas with you, and we encourage you to keep indoors as much as possible and off the roads.

Friday will see more of the same, with highs in the 60s as the rains keep coming, with another inch or more planning to drop. Another overnight low in the 50s will keep things outright chilly. And as the weekend hits us, so will some more precipitation…

Stay tuned on Friday as we bring you Woodlands Weekend Weather.
