Market Street is putting out a call for school choirs to register for its 3rd annual ‘ The Sing-Off’ holiday a cappella competition

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Market Street is holding its third annual ‘The Sing-Off’ holiday a cappella competition on Thursday, December 7 at 6:30 p.m., and has placed an invitation to all high school and middle school choirs in The Woodlands area to sign up to compete.

The a cappella groups will be competing with holiday-themed performances followed by the naming of ‘The Sing-Off Champion’ at the event taking place in Central Park. Spectators may bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the performances and are encouraged to take advantage of hot cocoa, Christmas cotton candy and more.

To register for the competition, each entering team is to fill out the registration form and prepare two holiday-esque, a cappella songs for the competition. The two groups that move on to the 2nd round will perform their second song. Clothing/attire is up to each individual group and there is no dress code, though the more festive the better.

Even if a group does not move on to the 2nd round, its members are invited and encouraged to stay throughout the entire competition. Lighting and sound equipment will be provided by Market Street. All participating groups will be recorded and photographed by the Market Street media team and will have access to all the professional photos and videos to use as they see fit.

The winning school will receive a $1,000 check to spend and distribute however they see fit Eligible groups are limited to junior high and high school only – no adult, professional, or collegiate groups are allowed.
