THE WOODLANDS, TX – New Danville has announced the keynote speaker for its annual Spring Thing Luncheon, a remarkable event benefiting the organization, on April 26, at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, where the doors will open at 10:30 a.m. for a day filled with inspiration, shopping, and the joy of giving back.

Ironman Chris Nikic to headline unforgettable luncheon

Preparing to inspire the attendees is Chris Nikic, the first person with Down Syndrome to complete a 140.6-mile Ironman. Chris’ journey exemplifies the power of focusing on abilities over disabilities, and the unwavering spirit of positivity and determination.

“Join us for an unforgettable day of inspiration and philanthropy. Together, we can continue to make a positive impact on the lives of special needs adults in our community,” said New Danville in a statement.

The luncheon will also feature a fully stocked marketplace where attendees can shop for unique items crafted with the assistance of New Danville Wranglers (clients) and select offerings from the organization’s upscale resale store, Jazzy Junque. Additionally, the luncheon program will also allow attendees to experience the heartwarming stories and successes of the New Danville community, showcasing why it’s a great place for special needs adults to live, learn, work, and grow.

New Danville, founded in 2005, is dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, along with those requiring similar services. The organization’s mission is to promote dignity, respect, and the opportunity for individuals to lead enriched and purposeful lives.
