Pets of the Week - Misty and Mickie

MONTGOMERY, TX -- Meet MISTY and MICKIE. Half brother and sister. They both have the same Havanese (as in Havana, Cuba) mother; but different fathers. They are owned by Colleen and Al, who are Canadian snowbirds from Alberta, and call the region home from November-May. Misty and Mickie are the first pets we’ve featured on MCN that have passports. Misty is almost 2. Her father is Maltese, so think Maltese Falcon and Cuban Cigar with her ancestry. Mickie is 3, and his father is an Australian Shepherd, of which the breed was developed in California, and has origins in Asturias (in NW Spain). Mickie’s ancestry is so complicated it would take a forensic genealogist to figure out. There is no doubt they love to be walked. Besides the Walden dog park, they also go to a dog park in Tomball. During the summer, Misty and Mickie join Colleen and Al on trips to places far from and near to Alberta. They are well behaved and enjoy their toys.
