THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Interfaith of The Woodlands Hand Me Up Shop is in immediate need of new or gently used clothing donations, shoes, housewares, and furniture. Your contributions will help replenish the shop’s inventory and enable families in crisis to access affordable essentials. All proceeds of sales from the shop support the many basic needs programs Interfaith provides to neighbors in need in South Montgomery County of which current requests for food, transitional shelter and financial assistance for rent/mortgage and utility support have increased by 40% over last year. As one of the leading resale shops in Montgomery County, The Hand Me Up Shop offers a diverse range of gently used, high-quality items including clothing for all ages, boutique selections, books, toys, housewares, furniture, and home décor—all at reasonable prices. Your support will make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need in our community.

"The Hand Me Up Shop provides basic needs for community members facing crisis, and the proceeds from The Shop directly support Interfaith’s many community programs," shared Missy Herndon, President and CEO of Interfaith. "The Shop provides clothing to those in need, supplying children with back-to-school outfits, individuals with professional attire for job interviews, and families recovering from fires or disasters with the means to rebuild their wardrobes, all thanks to the kindness of our community donors. Every donated article of clothing, houseware, or furniture item has the power to positively impact someone in need.”

The greatest needs right now are gently used clothing for men, women and children, items such as athletic wear, summer clothing, professional attire, and everyday apparel. The Shop is also in need of indoor and outdoor furniture, as well as accent pieces, home décor and housewares. The Woodlands Style House will be hosting a donation drive on Saturday, May 11th at The Hand Me Up Shop to collect donations that will replenish the merchandise available for our neighbors in need. Items can also be donated anytime to the Hand Me Up Shop at 536 Sawdust Rd. or at Interfaith's central office at 4242 Interfaith Way, The Woodlands. Furniture and consignment donation pickups can be scheduled by calling 281-367-4942.

The Hand Me Up Shop is celebrating their 35th anniversary this year. The Shop has become a trusted spot for people from all walks of life to access affordable clothing and essentials. Thanks to the generosity of the community who provide donations, The Hand Me Up Shop is able to meet the growing needs of our community. The revenue generated from the shop directly aids in funding the many Programs and Services provided by Interfaith of The Woodlands.
