THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Commissioner James Noack proudly announces the launch of "Golden Go Bus," a tailored senior bus program designed to serve individuals age 62 and older within Precinct 3. Through a successful partnership with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Precinct 3 has secured a $110,000 grant to fund the acquisition of a 15-passenger bus, offering reliable transportation to our seniors.

The Golden Go Bus program will provide Precinct 3 seniors with weekly outings and shuttle services to various activities, appointments and meals. Additionally, it will serve as transportation to the new Community Center and Library in the Grogan’s Mill Village Center upon its opening next year.

Today marked the inaugural journey of the Golden Go Bus, taking seniors to Vernon’s Kuntry Katfish for a delightful lunch outing. While the transportation remains complimentary for all qualifying seniors, any expenses or purchases incurred at the destinations will be the responsibility of the rider.

This initiative highlights Commissioner Noack's commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our senior community, fostering social connections and engagement. With Golden Go Bus, seniors can enjoy seamless access to essential services and recreational opportunities.
